Luna Boon Farm
Who’s on the Farm?
Farmer Evan
Hey y’all! My name is Evan. I’ve been farming for seven seasons and have been blessed to start my own farm business! Beyond being outside, I love to ride my horse Maya, hang out with friends and family, read fantasy books, and eat lots of sweet potatoes.
Nix the Aussie
Nix (named after one of Pluto’s moons) is my little helper around the farm. She’s a 2 year old Australian Shepard. Her roles include but aren’t ever limited to: our alarm, companion, bug catcher, and cuddle monster.
The Ladies
Meet the two retired horses Maya and Dreamer. Maya is 23 year old Anglo Arabian and Dreamer is a 15 year old Friesian Quarter. We also have two LaMancha Oberhasli goats, Bitty and Bubs.
The Main Event
Who is Luna and what is a Boon? Here is the culprit for our farm’s name. I introduce you to Luna Boon Boonerton. On a 2018 spring night, while I was camping with a friend in Black Diamond, WA. Luna scratched and meowed at the door at 4:00am in the morning. We took her in and gave her all we had on hand, 2% milk and crushed up Juantonio’s chips. She is now one of our most silly of gooses, running around the farm and causing a scene. She normally goes by Boon and so the name came to be.
